Frequently Asked Questions

Here we have included some frequently asked questions.

Email us! Shoot us an email at enroll@bitbootcamp.com. After we receive your note, we will send you a link to the online application and will work with you to schedule an interview.

The phone interview will generally last around 30 minutes. The conversation will include an overview of our programs, your background and any questions you might have. We may have some technical questions for you in math, statistics, and programming.

We provide scholarships for our full-time Data Science and Big Data course for students from underrepresented groups in analytics (African American, Hispanic, and American Indian backgrounds) and veterans.  At this point, we do not offer scholarships for our part-time courses.

Before a cohort begins, there are no set deadlines for applying to a course at BitBootCamp.

Yes, you are welcome to apply again in the future. If, after reviewing your application, our team does not think you are quite ready to join, we will provide you with guidance and study materials on how to prepare.

We work with students with a wide variety of backgrounds. Roughly, 30% of our students are PhDs and postdocs looking to transition from academia into data science. Another 30% of our students are programmers with a BS or MS degree in a technical field or with a few years of experience in industry. Finally, 30-40% of our students are folks with analytical experience in various fields such as finance or insurance, or are weekend data enthusists excited to begin a new career.

We believe learning happens best in a small class setting -- especially in a bootcamp where many technical concepts are thrown to you at high velocity! To this end, we limit all of our cohorts to class sizes of 8-10 students.

All of our classes take place at 25 Broadway in downtown Manhattan. We are 2 blocks south of Wall Street and the Charging Bull!
